I’ve spent most of my adult life as the responsible breadwinner for my family - a family I deeply love and cherish.

 

And yet, my most carefree, fully expressed moments have been with the women I call my best friends. Speaking my truth. Listening to theirs. Sharing ice cream, sipping wine, and rediscovering the parts of myself that can get lost in the day-to-day.

 

Being in community with women isn’t just something I enjoy - it’s essential to my well-being. So much so that I’ve built my work as a coach and retreat leader around it. 

 

As far as I know, we get one opportunity to give this life our best shot. I don’t want to reach the end with anything still sitting on the sidelines - and I don’t want that for you, either.

Here's what I know about impressive-looking lives: they can often feel completely empty on the inside.
 

I know what it means to look at your life and realize that somewhere along the way, you started building it for everyone else. I know the weight of living inside a version of yourself made entirely of shoulds and expectations and the quiet, persistent ache of wondering if this is really what you want from your one wild & precious life.
 

I also know what it feels like to choose yourself in spite of the fear. To fall apart and find out that what's underneath is more beautiful — more you — than anything you were performing before.
 

Christine & I created Her True North Collective because we are obsessed with what happens when women stop living for everyone else's version of their lives and start asking the real questions — Who am I under all of this? What do I actually want? Is my current life in alignment with what's calling me from the inside?
 

I've asked those questions in the dark. I know how disorienting they are. You don't have to blow up your life to find yourself. But you are allowed to want more. I want to remind women that the life calling to you from the inside is worth listening to, worth investing in. The fall can be hard, but the rising is more beautiful than you could ever imagine.
